The tension is building among the people,
My homeland reeks of fear, hate, and suspicion…
Fingers are pointed, insults are made,
Gun are loaded and landmine are laid.
No more talk now, war’s begun,
My hopes have set now with the sun.
Red’s for the blood that we’ve spilt out of hate,
Blue for the guilt-tears we’ve cried far too late,
White’s for the blindness, since many don’t see,
America; where hatred is flowing just as free.
