Tears of Blood

Chapter II

"You're a what?!" I screamed out. Several pigeons, which had been lazing about the park I had been passing through when Iasus had first spoke up, flew off in fright.

"I told you. I'm a demon. Your not scared, are you Sabrina?" he asked in boredom.

"N-no!" I stammered defensively.

Iasus shot out a harsh bitter laugh.

"Course you are. Anyone in their right mind would be."

"Well then…I guess I'm crazy." I stated, so simply that he starred at me.

He shook his head in confusion.

"Never before, in all my years, and believe me I have quite a few, have I met a person quite like you."

I blushed, confused. What was this guy talking about? Was he the one who was insane? I reached into my purse and produced a small glass bottle, filled to the brim with pure 'Holy Water'.

"What's that?" Iasus wanted to know.

"A gift for you." I said uncorking the bottle. "DIE DEMON!" I shouted throwing the water on him viciously. "How do you like the feel of my Holy Water?" I demanded.

He just starred at me for a second.

"Is this supposed to hurt?" He asked, in a voice that caused him to almost sound amused!

"Well…" I stammered. "Yeah…a little."

His expression was saying more at that moment then words could ever state, and it was clearly trying to tell me that my little 'present' wasn't working. He then raised his hand to his nose and sniffed.

"Ooo! Mint fresh!" he said grinning.

"DAMNIT!" I screamed.

"Ooo…nasty vocabulary for the daughter of a bishop." He stated, arching an eyebrow.

"Do not judge me by my family." I satisfied myself by ordering. When what I wanted to say was "I am so not my father you bastard." However I really didn't believe that would be the best thing to say when confronting a demon.

"So…Iasus…do you wanna meet my family?" I asked, saying possibly the geekiest thing I've ever said.

"Not really." He replied dully. "However, I'm not finished with you yet my little Aravinda (1)."

I was in awe by the beauty of this word.

"What's it mean?" I asked curiously.

"I think I shall save that information for another day." He said simply.

Although disappointed I dropped the subject and lead him to the Chapel.

Upon arriving I saw my mom in the hallway.

"Mom!" I cried running over. "I want you to meet someone!"

My mom looked up and almost dropped the vase she had been polishing when she saw Iasus's eyes.

"Oh…um…who's your new friend Sabrina?" she asked, hurriedly placing the vase back on the pedestal and backing away before she almost broke something else.

"His name is Iasus." I explained. "He…uh…just moved into town. And he's looking for a church!" I lied.

"What? No I'm-" he started before I cut him off.

"Zip it."

"Okay then!" My mom said cheerfully. She can always find the 'Silver lining' in any situation. Really makes me sick sometimes. "Iasus we'd be glad if you'd join out church."

"Well I don't really know if I'm-"

"He'll be coming on Sunday's Mass." I hurriedly interrupted. "Um…where's dad? Iasus is just dying to meet him."

"I think he's already at the air port. You know he had that big meeting tomorrow."

"What a pity." Iasus said sarcastically.

"Isn't it though?" I agreed trying to sound convincing. "Well then mom, we'll just be on out way then!"

"Oh wait! Iasus, would you like to come to dinner tonight?" she asked.

"Why not?" he wondered. "Who knows? It could even be fun."

"Oh don't you dare!" I warned him.

That night at dinner I was a nervous wreck! I had such a terrible time putting my make-up on that it could be considered a miracle that I had a decent amount of eyeliner on in time.

Luckily Iasus was exactly thirty minutes late, typical demon behavior right? Well anyway I had enough time to do my hair also.

"Oh Iasus! Welcome to out home." My mom had just answered the door when I came downstairs. I breathed a sigh of relief.

Dinner however could have so gone better. My damned little brother wouldn't stop asking questions. I mean what was this? The Third Degree?

After dinner my mom let me go back to his house to watch a movie. Little did she know! Turns out Iasus doesn’t have a house. Instead he took me down to the beach to watch the moon rise.

"Firdaus." He murmured.

"Huh?" I questioned.

"Paradise. Such beauty, and I'm not just talking about the moon." He said his eyes straying to my lips.

Suddenly I felt extremely uncomfortable. I mean you can imagine, right? I mean here you are on the beach, with a demon whom is giving you some pretty…unconventional looks. Typically enough, it was at that exact moment that the last couple left the beach. I was alone. Completely alone with this new threat. If this isn't a worst case scenario I don't know what is.

"Do you want to know what life is really about, Sabrina?" he asked me softly.

I couldn't say, or do for that matter, anything. I was so helpless that if he did something there would be nothing I could do to stop it.

"Don't you dare!" I said after having regained my speech ability. "My family would never forgive you-or me for that matter- if you did!"

"Oh common Aravinda, you know you want to."

And the worst thing is…it was true. I did want to have sex with this complete stranger, whom I had just met like six hours ago! So I did the only thing I could do…I changed the subject!

"What the hell does Aravinda mean anyway?" I demanded.

"Now's not the time. I'll tell you when I'm good and ready."

To be continued…

Mistress: R&R!

Oh and Aravinda means Lotus. And incase you didn't catch on to the subject Firdaus means Paradise.
