Simulus redit ad cauponam. Manent raeda Octavius et Andorra. Spectant amicum de currit via.

"Ubi puella ibat?" rogat Octavius.

"Non scio. Erat in via, sed subito evanescebat."

Liberi quaerunt occultam puellam. Itaque, non conspiciunt Simulum, qui strigat in via.

Interea via Simulus de currit. Necesse est advenire cauponam celeriter. Subito puer strigat. Conspicit puellam prope viam. Currit ad eam.

"Salve!" vocat Simulus.

Puella vertat et videt puerum. Respondet, "Salve."

"Cur ambulas tam mane?" Simulus perstat.

"Ambulabam tota nox. Quid es tu?"

Simulus ridet. "Ego nomine Simulus Deus. Et quis es tu?"

Puella haesitat. "Ego nomine Camilla."

"Camilla, ubi is? Fortasse poteo comitor te?"

"Peteo cauponam. Scisne ubi est?"

"Ita vero! Eo ibi ipse. Veni, Camilla. Ducet ad cauponam"

Tum Simulus de currit via. Celeriter, Camilla currit post puero.

Simulus is returning to the inn. Octavius and Andorra remain with the carriage. They watch their friend running down the road.

"Where did that girl go?" asks Octavius.

"I do not know. She was in the road, but suddenly she was gone."

The children look for the mysterious girl. Therefore, they do not catch sight of Simulus, who stops in the road.

Meanwhile Simulus runs down the road. It is necessary to reach the inn quickly. Suddenly the boy stops. He catches sight of a girl by the road. He runs to her.

"Hello!" calls Simulus.

The girl turns and sees the boy. She responds, "Hello."

"Why are you walking so early?" Simulus persists.

"I was walking all night. Who are you?"

Simulus smiles. "I am called Simulus Deus. And who are you?"

The girl hesitates. "I am called Camilla."

"Camilla, where are you going? Perhaps I can accompany you?"

"I seek the inn. Do you know where it is?"

"Yes! I go there myself. Come, Camilla. I lead you to the inn."

Then Simulus runs down the road. Quickly, Camilla runs after the boy.

A/N: The first chapter written in the new school year. Woohoo! Next chapter, Simulus and Camilla arrive at the inn. What will Catalina do? And don't forget Surettus!
