Always too young to know true love—

Everyone says that I don’t know.

But when I feel…those butterflies.

Fluttering gently inside me.

I look at you—

You smile at me.

The butterflies spread, touching my thighs.

My brain is a cocoon,

You’re on my mind…

Somehow, you’re my butterfly.

So wild so free,

As if you can live without me,

Tumbling and Trembling

Between the tides,

You’re my butterfly.

‘Too young’ I’m told by my friends…

My parents say much the same.

But Momma met Poppa at twenty

He was only sixteen

People told them that they’re wrong…

So why my I defy them for you?

So wild, So free

As if you could live life and be…

So happy, so new.

Tumbling and trembling

Between the tides,

I feel your lips…Oh, my butterfly…
