I wrote the following poem about a friend who has always been there for me no matter what. I went through some bad depression a few years back, and she is one of the people who helped me to make it through. So, my dearest friend, this poem is for you:

Best Friend

Through all the times I needed you,

You always came before I asked.

You showed me friendship,

Even though I believed there was no such thing.

And when you hurt me,

You would throw yourself in my path,

Until I heard you out.

You truly cared when I thought no-one could,

You showed me how much I was loved.

You proved me wrong,

When I thought there was nothing worth living for.

And so, this is my thank-you,

My dearest of all friends.
