Tiny Spaces

I'm looking for peace in all the wrong places
But I found a light in these tiny spaces

If I could spread my wings and be free
I'd soar above all the pain and misery
Candles are now lit but only to burn
Fires will die, but still wait your turn

A quarter in my pocket brings me down
No one helps me up, nobody is around
Their butts are dragging from burgers and oil
But they'll never admit to the cause of turmoil

They say we speak of things unknown
Yet they know not what they are not shown
Send them away, let them run free
Never to silence the voices we need

Big trees, big caves, big oceans, big lands
And all I've got is what fits in my hands
Beautiful faces make way for disease
Laughter can put your soul at ease

I continue to search in all the wrong places
But never forgetting these tiny spaces
