Dedication: This is for dreams.  For my dreams, for your dreams, for anyone who dreams’ dreams.  It’s for dreaming of something somewhere with someone.  It doesn’t really matter what or where or who.  Just as long as it’s now.

“Rainy Dreams”

By: Midnight

Saturday afternoon

What am I doing home

Watching the rain come down

It hits the glass

And blurs the window panes

Droplets look suspended

In mid air

Floating in the grid of gray screen

Behind the window panes

I stare out into the street

Watch the cars float on by

Blurry

Because spring rain

Just can’t give it a rest

And the room is dark

My bed roughly made

The floors clean

From too much time

My homework lies undone

On the desk

Next to my chair

The poster of a green sky

Is wrinkled and slipping from the wall

Because the wind has almost blown it

Down

The rain is quick

Darts

Lines

Long lines

Inside is dark

Gray

And shadowy

It looks like an old photograph

With yellowed edges

Tired and worn

Even the sky looks gray

Today

I want you to take me somewhere

Take me anywhere

We can be escaping behind the school

We can be uncomfortable in your car

We can be sitting at the cold kitchen table

We can be standing in the gray rain

Dripping wet

We can have our first kiss

Wherever you want it

But I want it now

I want your arms around me

And I want your smile looking down at me

It can be here

It can be in the torrent wind

I don’t care

Let this photograph be old

Let it be tired out

Let it be clichéd

Don’t let it die

Hold me close

And be my man

A/N: Keep dreaming. :)
