Fear

Shadowed through the window; separated by the glass,
Can you see me here screaming out your name,
Or is this glass hiding it all?
I’m bashing against the window; screaming for some help.
The shadows dance across the floor, and I fear there’s something here.
Please tell me that I’m safe. Please tell me you’re coming soon;
Because I fear what’s behind this glass with me…
I’m more afraid than you’ll ever know.
So I’ll slam my hand against the window, and watch the blood pour down.
I’ll scream my throat raw in the chance you'll free me from here;
I’ll stand against the window, and pray my fear does not come near.
