Disclaimer: This is a short story that I came up with I don’t know when. I have been thinking about expanding it. But I don’t think the story would have any plot. Anyway here it is hope you like it. Enjoy. R/R

It was August 29th. Elizabeth woke to the sound of her beeping alarm clock. She slowly opened her eyes and winced at the sound. She truly hated the sound of alarm clocks and questioned once again why she used one. Slowly she sat up and slammed her hand down on the wretched thing. She reached up and rubbed the sleep out of her brown green eyes and blinked to clear the blur. She looked over to the window and aloud a rather large smile to spread across her face. She could see through her window that the sky was filed with clouds. She swung her legs out of bed and walked over to her closet. She slipped on her favorite pair of gray sweat capris and lavender tank top. She walked over to the bathroom and tied her long strawberry blonde hair into a braid. As she was tying the end she walked out into the her living room of her London flatt. When the band was clasped tittely holding her hair in place she walked over to the main closet and pulled out her jogging shoes and her black sweat jacket. She slipped on the jacket and zipped it half way then pulled on her running shoes. She had had the running shoes for as long as she could remember. The outsides of the old shoes were scuffed and on the verge of holes. As she stumbled over to the kitchen attempting to tie her shoes and walk, and grabbed a plum bitting into it. When she was finished tying her shoes she walked over to the front door and grabbed her keys off the rack and locked the door behind her as she went. She took the stairs knowing it would warm up her legs. By the time she reached the bottom the only thing left of her plum was the seed. As she exited the front lobby door she tossed the left overs in a trash can. Elizabeth closed her eyes and took and deep breath absorbing the sweet smell of the coming rain. Slowly she opened her eyes and walked over to the sidewalk waiting for the light to change. When it did she quickly walked across. With one last breath she set out on her morning jog. Elizabeth loved the rain, which would give good reason to her deciding to move to London. Most people said she would be tired of the weather after a few months. But after living there for nearly two years she never grew tired of gloomy weather. She slowly jogged her way to her favorite park only slowing at cross walks. It was only about 6 AM, so there were not a lot of people milling about. The park was lined with trees which reminded Eliza of a forest. The paths were left unpaved, giving the park a real natural look. Slowly small droplets of rain began to fall from the sky. Eliza slowed to a walk and spread her arms, enjoying the feel of the cool water on her skin. After walking with arms spread for about 15 minutes Eliza began to get cold, and regretfully, she decide it was time to head home. Eliza made her way to the nearest exit of the park. When she reached the concrete sidewalk the rain was coming down much harder. Eliza pulled her hood over her head and shield her eyes from the rain with her hand. Quickly, she walked over to the crosswalk, and looking both ways began to cross. Eliza wasn’t paying attention to where she was walking, and she walked into someone, stumbling back a few steps. Eliza quickly looked up and immediatley met the mans Choclate brown eyes. He had curly blonde hair that looked almost brown, as it was wet. He looked into her eyes and Eliza found a great warmth there. Her body seemed to shut down. She had no words, and every thought, seemed to be erased form her mind. She simply stared at the man in front of her.

Jeremiah woke early for meeting with his friend Tom. They had been planning a party for the to be married friend, and Tom had decide to hold the meeting at 7 AM, claiming that it would be easiest. Jeremiah snorted. Easy for you maybe, he thought bitterly. As he walked out into the cool morning air he got a small scent of rain. He pulled his jacket tighter around him and made his way down the side walk. His car was in the shop getting it’s breaks checked so he had no other alternative than to walk. He quickened his pace when he saw small drops begin to shower the concrete sidewalk. He was going to kill Tom if he had to walk in the rain. The restaurant was not that far from Jeremiah’s flatt. But it was not the best morning to walk in the rain. The rain began to come down quicker and harder. Jeremiah quickened his pace to a jog. When he got to the crosswalk he quickly looked in both directions and then shielded his eyes form the rain with his hand. He quickly made his way across the street. But before he reached the other side he ran into someone, nearly knocking them over. Jeremiah quickly looked up form the ground to see a young woman standing in front of him. He swallowed hard as the woman looked up at him. Her hair, which he assumed was usually blonde, looked almost firey brown. When his eyes met hers he felt his heart beat a bit quicker. Her eyes were and undecisive color of brown and green. The woman didn’t move she simply stood there looking up at him. Jeremiah tried to apologize but found he had no words. Eliza blinked, trying to clear her mind. But as she looked back up at the man only one thought echoed through her mind. It was this one thougtht, which she couldn’t understand, that she acted on. Eliza quickly reached up and kissed the man. Her body eased as if a huge pain had been lifted from her shoulders. He felt warm and soft. Jeremiah was shocked at first. He felt his mind quickly react, telling him to hold her. Without another thought, he raised his hands to her hips, and then slowly slid them up her sides resting them on the middle of her back. He forgot that he was standing in the middle of the street in the poring rain. Eliaz’s eyes flew open and she quickly pushed the man back, slapping her hand over her mouth. She starred at the man wide eyed as if in shock.
“I’m so sorry,” she said. Jeremiah opened his mouth to say something but before he had a chance to speak the girl ran passed him .
“Wait,” he called after her. He quickly turned and chased her down the sidewalk. He squinted trying to see clearly through the poring rain. His mind filled with worry at the thought of losing sight of the girl. He quickened his pace to try and catch up to her but she was too fast. As they rounded a corner the girl sprinted across the street. Jeremiah tried to follow but at that moment a bus pulled infront of him. He waited impatiently as the bus slowly pulled away. When it had finally passed Jeremiah ran across the street looking everywhere for the girl. His heart sank as the only thing that met him was poring rain and an empty sidewalk.
