Bury her in an unmarked grave
Among the trees and flowers
No one shall cry for her
For she came from the Ashes
And returns to the Dust.
Alone, expelled from her kin,
She weeps for the earth.
Sweet earth, embrace the body,
And make her part of you again,
For such sweet harmony has
Never been part of her life.
May mother earth caress her
Like mankind rejected her,
For you cannot be exiled from the grave.
Time runs short for her
I can hear sand trickle though
The hourglass, smashed into
A thousand shards, dropped
Like leaves in autumn
Before the time of winter
Comes and death rules the land.
Frozen earth shall be her
Blood, naked branches shall
Be her body,
The wind shall be her soul,
And rain shall be her tears.
Frozen lakes shall be her passion,
Snow shall be her lovers kiss
And winter shall share her end.
No longer will her salty tears
Water the ground, for she shall be the rain,
No longer will her sobs be unheard
For she will become the howl of the wind
No longer will her heart grieve
For her heart will bear Roses,
The most bittersweet children of nature.
Death, both panacea and prevention,
Cure and cause of our misery,
Her time is over, the passionate touch
Of cold iron results in red waterfalls
That cascade down her wrists
And as the last drop of blood
Slips down the hourglass
She dies, leaving us nothing but
An empty shell.
