Light My Way

The sun’s last warming rays

Kiss your face;

Bathing the land in liquid gold,

Transformed into another place.

Slowly the night creeps in,

And the sun fades and dies,

But still we stay on;

I see heaven in your eyes.

Perfection is written in the sky,

And it lingers in the air,

Nothing could be wrong right now,

Nothing, so long as you’re near.

I don’t mind if I’m foolish,

I care not if I’m blind,

I know I’ll be all right

If you’re always mine.

I can see the galaxies in your eyes, my love,

I see only radiance when you smile,

With boundless strength you go on,

Through every obstacle and mile.

My light, my guide, my brightest star –

You light my way,

You shine away the darkness

And lead me to better days.
