Chapter One
Crazy Mothers Take Things Seriously
Spaghetti hung out of Yuki’s slack jawed mouth. No way... She thought to herself. No FREAKING WAY! Managing to swallow the rest of her spaghetti, which she had been snacking on, she jumped up and slammed her fists on the table. “MOM! You can’t do this to me!!” Yuki had spent all her life in a co-ed school and she wasn’t going down without a fight.
“Oh yes I can!” Asako pointed her baking spoon swiftly at her daughter. “You may hate me now, but in the end you’ll thank me!”
Frustration welled up inside of Yuki. And tears. “You don’t understand!! I just... I just can’t go to an all girl’s school!” The girl sat down defeated onto a dining room chair. “Mom, please!”
“Yuki, the answer is still no.” Her mother frowned. “I think it would be a good experience for you. And I don’t want boys distracting you from your education!”
Yuki gritted her teeth, glaring at her mother with all her might. “Come off it! I don’t even chase boys!” Crossing her arms, Yuki rested her head on the table, looking down at the floor.
“You’re just doing this cuz you’re afraid I might get pregnant like you did.” Yuki hissed under her breath.
Asako stopped stirring. The small woman whirled to face Yuki, her face set with anger. “HOW DARE YOU!” She slammed the baking bowl on the counter and pointed to the hallway that conjoined with the kitchen. “To your room! Now.”
Yuki jumped up, knocking over chair, sobbing the whole way. “I HATE YOU! I’D RATHER GO TO AN ALL BOY’S SCHOOL!”
Just then, Yoshii, Yuki’s father stomped into the room. “What the hell’s going on?” he mumbled, scratching his ear with his pinky. The racket had disrupted his nap.
“Nothing, dear.” Her mother just simply watched her dash to her room. She sighed and began to spoon out some batter.
----------------------
I hate her! Yuki thought bawling into a pillow. How could she do this to me?! She felt hurt and betrayed; her mother basically told her she was untrustworthy.
After a few hours of sulking, Yuki drifted off to sleep, completely oblivious to the future that was to come.
---------------------
Two weeks later, things were almost back to normal, despite the fact that Yuki had hardly spoken to her mom.
Outside, the summer heat was unbearable, so the house had the air conditioner on at full blast and everyone was too hot and sticky to be active. Yuki was just munching on some chips, reading some manga, when her mother’s voice cut through the silence.
“Yuki! You new uniforms are here!”
The girl stomped downstairs and grabbed the box sitting on the kitchen table. “Whatever.” Taking the box into the restroom, she began to change.
Yuki grumbled as she pawed through the open box. The grumbling transformed into confusion as she tried on her blouse. This shirt fits funny; maybe she got the wrong size. Then the slacks. They’re...a little tight around the butt and aren’t girls supposed to wear skirts...? She lost it when she pulled the blazer out of the box. Or more specifically—
“MOM! THIS IS A BOY’S BLAZER!!” Yuki stomped out, decked in boy’s attire. “I don’t know who you ordered this from, but they got the order waaaaay wrong.”
Asako was sitting on the couch watching a sitcom. She didn’t even bother to turn around. “Is the uniform too small?”
“What?” The cheap sitcom’s laugh track echoed as Yuki blinked, “Mom, this--”
Asako finally turned around to look at her daughter. “OH! YOU LOOK SO PRECIOUS!! Just like the son I always wanted!”
Yuki’s face turned blank. Something weird was definitely going on. “What are you saying?”
A huge grin spread across Asako’s face. “Yuki, isn’t this just was you wanted?”
“H-huh?”
“I enrolled you into HirayamaBoysAcademy”
The blood drained from the girl’s face as she recalled the conversation two weeks before. Then realization struck. “You’re JOKING.” It was more of a statement than a question.
“What do you think?” Asako said. She got up and pulled an envelope from a pile of papers on the dining room table. “Here’s proof.”
It was a letter of acceptance from the school. ‘We are pleased to inform you...blah blah blah.’ The paper fell from Yuki’s hands. For the first time in her life, she regretted being one of the top students in her school...or rather former school.
Yuki sat heavily on the couch. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
“MY MOTHER’S FREAKING CRAZY!!”
Asako merely chuckled. “Not as crazy as you, dear! By the end of the first semester, you’ll be begging me to enroll you into an all girl’s school!”

AUTHOR’S NOTE
---------
Hello, peoples! I’ll explain my hiatus. ;;; As you know, MFW has been running for a couple of years now, so I’ve matured quite a bit writing wise (Maturity’s a different issue. XD). And in that maturity, I realized...MY EARLY WRITINGS SUCK! ; In addition to that, MFW has several running plot holes I can’t fill, because I changed the direction of the story right in the middle of it. So I’m rewriting it. Don’t worry, I’m not making giant changes or anything, it’s basically going to be the same, but with more content, character development, etc. Oh yeah, and more humor. ;D
So, I apologize for the inconvenience, but I want to write a better quality work for all my MFW fans. I’m also getting it ready to be a webcomic, when the story ends. :)
Thanks for all your support and patience!
