A/N: Very short yet I felt it had to be done.

"Alexia! What are you doing here?" Lisa ran up to her friend and embraced her before setting her at a distance to look her over. "That uniform looks excellent on you." Alexia grinned, turning in a circle to show it off.

"It's better than my training uniform." Alexia's voice held laughter as she reached out and placed a hand on Lisa's stomach. "When is it due?"

"Two months tomorrow. I want you to be the godmother." Alexia looked up in shock and honor.

"Of course, I wouldn't turn it down."

"Al!" Turning around she grinned as strong arms wrapped around her. "I didn't know you were coming home this weekend! Why didn't you tell me?" She looked up at her brother, pinching his cheek lightly as he winced and pulled back with a smile.

"I wanted to surprise everyone. I'm on leave for a month before I have to go back." Lenny flicked her hat as she put a hand up to keep it in place.

"Nice suit." He chuckled before wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "You know, you really should have called or something. Jason would have appreciated it." Alexia looked down, a faint smile on her face.

"I'm sure he's busy enough as it is. He's got too much work to do to come up and see me." Lenny was steering her into the sanctuary of the church, his arm draped casually over her shoulder.

"Now who ever said that?" She turned in surprise to see Jason leaning against the wall inside the sanctuary, his arms crossed. Alexia smiled, pulling away from Lenny to go and embrace him. Jason lifted her off her feet

"What are you doing here? I thought you had exams this week." He completed Lenny's job and led her to her usual seat in their church, sitting beside her.

"That's next week. Although I had to beg your parents to tell me when you were coming out again." Alexia removed her hat and then unpinned her hair so that is cascaded down to the middle of her back. Taking out a ponytail she began to put it back.

"Mom always did have a trouble keeping things like that a secret." Jason chuckled.

"Actually, it was your dad this time. And leave your hair down, it looks nice." He reached over and pulled the ponytail out.

Service started soon after. Their Pastor made her stand up as the church welcomed her back. She felt her face redden as her friends cheered for her. After that the worship service started. The Spirit of God engulfed Alexia as she raised her hands to Him. At the Academy it was very difficult to express her faith openly yet she did it anyway. There were a few people in her hall that shared her beliefs and there was even a Bible study group. They met everyone Tuesday and Wednesday and sometimes went around witnessing to the first years on Fridays. Lately that had been difficult because they'd been sending her out over seas to complete assignments. She had no complaints about seeing the world. When the worship ended Pastor Derhay had everyone greet one another. Never before had so many people hugged her so tightly. You'd think she'd been gone five years instead of five months. As they all sat down Pastor had the elders collect the offering before announcing what was going on that month with the church.

"And now, I believe Jason has something he'd like to say." Alexia raised an eyebrow as Jason went up and took the wireless microphone from their Pastor. Pastor sat in the row in front of her, smiling to himself. Jason shifted uneasily as he looked at the church.

"I'm warning you all now that I'm not good at speaking, so please be kind." The church let out a collective chuckle. "It's going to be three years this November that I've been back. And it's been nearly three years since I met Alexia, the love of my life." Alexia felt her face redden. "Alexia, can you stand up?" She did so reluctantly, going up to his side and taking his hand as he held it out. He locked eyes with her, a small smile upon his lips.

"You all know that she and I have been through many ordeals, many of them together. And each time Satan has tried to tear us apart. But our God is an awesome God and has kept her by my side through thick and thin. So, with all of you as my witnesses, I would like to ask her hand in marriage." Alexia gasped as he got down on one knee, pulling a small black box out of his pocket before opening it.

"Alexia Anderson, will you do me the honor and be my wife?" Tears sprang to her eyes as she covered her mouth. The silence seemed to last an eternity.

"Yes." Her voice was just above a whisper as he placed the ring on her finger. When he got to his feet she wrapped her arms around him, tears streaming her face. Jason held her in return, feeling his own eyes tingle with tears. Lisa and Lenny watched with tears in their eyes as well. They had been wondering how long it would take him to build up enough nerve to ask her. Applause had broken out in the church when she had accepted and slowly died down as they sat together. Jason put his arm around her before looking straight into her eyes.

"I love you Alexia." Inside she was ready to burst. She was ready.

"I love you too Jason." Jason's eyes widened slightly before filling with tears. Sharing one more kiss they turned to their Pastor as he began his sermon. She had finally said the words he'd been longing for her to say. He had known it would take a while to say them and had not expected her to say them now. But he was glad. Somewhere inside it was as if she had just completed the puzzle inside of him, setting his heart back in order. Alexia smiled as he held her, feeling warmth spreading inside of her. She'd said it, after all this time of debating she had finally just let it come out. She loved him and saying it had sealed the deal. He was going to be her life long partner, the one thing she'd always wanted. They were two halves of a whole, now made complete.

A/N: The whole proposal scene actually happened in my church. I thought it was the sweetest thing I'd ever seen. So this is the end, I hope you all enjoyed reading it because I enjoyed writing it. God bless you all!

Dedicated to my dear friend Derick as a belated birthday present. You've been a great encouragement to me and I thank God everyday for our miraculous meeting.
