Do I go to war to fight for freedom?

Or simply go to war to die?

If you're so convinced that I'll return,

Then why's there a tear in your eye?

And for the world become a hero in a game?

Or is it just a one-way ticket.

To my first and last five minutes of fame?

Why do I have to go to war?

Aren't there enough soldiers to do it?

Why do they need me to volunteer?

When where I need to be is with my family, to help them get through it.

What did they ever do to me?

If only everyone could just pretend to get along,

Then my possible end I would not see.

I go to war for the future,

And more importantly the world.

There is no way back from the path's we take.

If there were, then no one would learn from where they've failed.
