glass

godawful teen-angst poetry PM
Like most of my poems, the meaning *is* the poem, so a summary would rather ruin it, don't you think? How much can a person resemble glass?

my fingers stained

and regret

chills through my bones

i saw your glass perfection

from afar

admired your fragile shell

but then

i came too close;

i reached out to touch you

and my hands came away bloody

torn on your sharp edges

dare i reach

to touch again?
