You can fly

An innocence stirred,

Shedding darkness,

A pale face with tears,

Brought on by the world,

Such heavy burdens,

She watched, not understanding,

The pain of a mother,

The hurt in the eyes of a lover,

The grief for the dead,

Lying wasted on a field,

An abandoned newborn babe,

An ageing grandfather all alone,

An unending suffering,

Of a person without a future,

She felt the torment,

This child without voice,

She wanted to dream,

To let go of the world,

Be free in her spirit,

Forsake it all,

In her mind,

She could fly.
