When I think of you, I feel much regret,
And my tears fall like there’s no tomorrow.
Oh, how I wish I could simply forget,
The pain you have caused, and the sorrow.
I loved you, and I thought you felt the same,
But, you left and hurt me in so many ways.
I guess to you it was all just a game,
Win or lose, I will love you for always.
You were perfect; weaknesses, you had none.
On the outside, you were brutal and tough,
But, you showed me kindness in more ways than one.
You gave me hope. I can’t thank you enough.
I’ll remember you ‘til the day I die,
But for now, I can only say…goodbye.
~Lady Sapphire
This is a poem I wrote a looong time ago back in grade nine, but I thought I'd post it anyway. The assignment was to write a sonnet...and this was the result of it. It's weird, and the rhythm is a bit off...but I was trying to get the rhyming scheme and the syllables right. Oh, and the iambic pentameter is off...I hadn't learned it at that time. Oh well, I'm trying to get better at this. One more thing, when I wrote this I was really into Gundam Wing, so to those who know the anime, it's kinda like from Relena's point of view on the perfect soldier. Sort of. In a scenario anyway. Feedback is always appreciated ^_^! Thanks!
