Within the confines of my Mind,

You lie in wait;

For that perfect moment.

A savage leap,

And the world is whirling,

As the sky wheels up above.

Cold earth numbs my back,

and the chill seeps in.

Words of malice taint the air,

Poison.

Nowhere to run,

my shelter now a battlefield.

Leathery wings unfold, jutting out

Offensively,

as you arch your back,

Beautifully Evil.

I flee,

all logic forgotten

as I try to leave it all behind.

Now plunged into Darkness,

I sense your leering presence

and feel your cruel hot breath,

imprint itself upon my ear.

Jeer me.

Mock me.

Taunt me.

Destroy me.

Corrupting from within.

Mar me with your talons.

Sink your fangs into Pristine neck.

Maim me with your Evil.

until Pale flesh is wound,

with Crimson ribbons,

twisting Serpents of tangy Blood.

But my Soul you shall not have,

You invisible Demon of mine.
