Exit?

So unexpected was the flame
That hungrily devoured all
Vicious, wild, simply untamed
To its fiery touch, many did fall

Sobs and weeping fill the air
Amidst the screams of pain
Continually you hear the sirens blare
While heavy tears fall like rain

Audible are the cries of distress
From those who have felt death’s touch
They continue blindly nevertheless
Until they collapse from simply too much

Among the bodies of the innocent slain,
Its mere appearance sends chills up your spine.
Found in the rubble that does remain,
Sits a lone exit sign…
