I watched her suffer

I watched him die

I watched them wonder

And watched them cry

Why of all people

I was the one

Who was chosen by this someone

To witness all he had done

I see the children wonder

to themselves and see them cry

I see all the mothers

who they all watch to die

I hear all the gunshots

I hear all the screams

I hear all the death cries

I hear all their pleads

I see all their sufferings

I see all their tears

I see what they've all been through

I see all the unseen

I wish I could comfort them

I wish I could cry

but I couldn't get myself to

For I was not alive

I too was one of those who suffered

but now I do not feel

all the pain I've gathered

which made me all unclean

I see those who're dying

gather up to me

I see those who're crying

could barely even see

I still watch all who suffer

I still watch them die

I still watch them wonder

And I still watch them cry

I still see all their suffering

I still see all their tears

I still see what they've all been through

I still see all the unseen

I still hear all the gunshots

I still hear all the screams

I still hear all the death cries

I still hear all their pleads

And I still seethe children wonder

to themselves and still see them cry

but now I just noticed

That they were looking up to the sky.
