Second Opinion

By Paperclippe

~*~

She lays

Staring blankly

At the ceiling

So useless

Just there

She doesn't do

Anything

Ever

She just lies there

Doing nothing

...*...

She reclines

Eyes affixed

In the air

So peaceful

Presence

She breathes

Calmly

Ever-dreaming

Always

She remains straight-faced

Imagining

...*...

I am just here

Gazing into thought

Inside myself

So enlightened

Of nothing

I think of

Everything

In time

I am there

Thinking

~*~

A/N: The idea for this poem came from watching too much Law and Order and learning about parallel outline structure in English. The Law and Order bit, I don't know, but the parallel outline structure... I figure a poem is an outline for a thought or a story or a dream, and since it's a little vague, anyone can see it many ways. That's kind of what the poem is about, too.
