I just posted this up on my journal, so I thought why not put it up here...wrote it awhile ago...tell me what you think.

me, slashgal, mj, ponderosa - See? I have a personality problem...

Masquerade

Every day a new face.
Every person a different personality.
Crowd to crowd.
Group to group.
I shift uneasily.
From foot to foot.
Running into walls -
You trip, you fall.
No one knows you.
You carry on conversations.
Witty, clever, perhaps.
Inside however,
Silence so loud
You wish it were louder.
How you miss the noise
inside.
Why did they leave you
to the depths of reality.
People laugh - you've told a joke,
Can't anyone see
The inner conflict?
A hug here, A hug there.
You're falling apart,
But they don't notice.
You see them fall before they even stumble,
But they don't see you crash.
Look at me you say.
Please...look at me.
You laugh enthusiastically,
They've told a joke.
