Looking for Love

Chapter 4

I sighted as I ran my hair through me jet black hair. I was waiting for Keira-san to arrive so that Chi-chan wouldn't have to walk by herself and that I could leave for the university. Suddenly we heard a pair of rollerblades coming down the pebble path. I hurried off but not before slipping Chi a 20 yen bill and ruffling her hair good bye. I sped off on my bike. I took a look at my watch. 'Oh crap!' My watch read fifteen minutes before the next class, but I still needed to visit the administration office to collect my new timetable for the semester. As I arrived at the bike rack, I saw Meilin-san and I waved. She walked over from her friends and waited as I chained up my bike.

I slipped my arm around her small waist and pulled her forwards and kissed her forehead. "Ohayo! So how was your week off vacation?" she asked as we walked towards the administration office. "Ohayo to you too! I guess that it was fine although those extra shifts at the café did give me a sore body and mind. But enough about me what about your vacation to England? Did you bring me something back?" I questioned her, opening the administration office door. She walked in and I followed. "Of course I did. Oh and I got Nadeshiko-chan something as well, But you'll be getting yours a little later." She replied pulling out a small velvet purse from her bag and handed it to me. I put the package in my bag and gave my name to the office attendant.

:::Sigh::: 'here I am in the café, wait Liang-san's café, the Serene Zephyr, on my holidays, serving people coffees.' As I raised my head to serve the customer at the counter, my jaw dropped and I froze still in my tracks. "Ohayo Kasuki-san How have you been?" In front of me stood my old tomodachi, Meiji-san. I wiped my hand on my apron before shaking his outstretched hand. Then I noticed the young woman beside him who looked timid, shy and a hidden face. I stretched my hand out in her direction and said "Gomen, my tomodatchi here is a little rusty on his manners. Watashi wa Kasuki to moshimasu. Demo onegai call me Kasuki-san."

She looked at my hand for a moment and looked up before taking it and replied, "Pleased to meet you Kasuki-san demo I think you already know who I am" as she lifted her face and I realized that it was Chiharu-san. Meiji- san pointed from Chiharu-san and myself and questioned " you already know each other?" I chuckled and replied "Of course, we met each other because we have the same employment." He looked at Chiharu with a questioning face and she nodded and replied "That's why I brought you here. Terrible service, the bad reputation, and the cockroaches that crawl around here." She smiled evilly knowing that all that she had said was the complete opposite. The café had the best service which was why it had an excellent reputation and of course there was not one cockroach to be seen. I pouted and served them a couple of cappuccinos.

A young lady of strawberry blond hair whom others called Keria-san sat down under the great oak tree in the school courtyard, next to her hest friend, Nadeshiko, for lunch. Her friend was looking pensive again as usual, probably thinking about the English exam that they had earlier. She knew that her friend absolutely hated the subject as she had the most difficulty in it. She smiled and patted her tomodachi's shoulder which brought her back to reality. "awww come-on Chi-chan it wasn't that hard. I'm pretty sure you passed."

She nodded and smiled showing her pearly white teeth and bright blue-eyes. "ano, don't worry I hope so too." She tried to hide her face which was flushed red but unfortunately failed. I rolled my eyes and eyed her evily "You were thinking about Archie-san again weren't you? Don't worry I know that he likes you too" she replied to cheer up her friend. She flushed an even deeper colour of red and smiled. "Yeah and you look so kawaii when you danced with him at the dance." I rubbed in knowing that it would make her mad. "Aya! Stop it Keira-chan."

"Class I would like to introduce a new student to our class." Everyone was lost in thought but one young man actually looked up from his text-book to see who this student was. Perhaps it was someone whom he knew. He silently gasped in surprise and mentally slapped himself to focus. But his brain said otherwise.

"Please introduce yourself to the class" Calber-sensei said as he turned to his table, to look at his seating sheet to allocate her a seat. "Ano, Ohayo minna-san. My name is Yoshiyu Mizuki." She bowed and smiled as she looked around the room to see all of the pupil's faces. But she stopped when she saw Ryoko's face and smiled a little more. He let out a slight smile and turned to look outside a nearby window. "ahh... you may take your place next to Mr Liang. Ryoko please raise your hand." Sensei said and started to conduct his class as Mizuki walked over to her allocated seat.

"Ohayo! Liang-san, I guess we're in the same old English class" she greeted cheerfully. He looked at her and muttered a small "yeh" She looked at him worriedly but turned to the front of the class where their teacher was teaching.

Kasuki sat down as he inhaled the deep scent of roses mixed with sugar. He lived in a small apartment with his girlfriend, who happened to be his roommate. They had been roommates for one and a half years now but only 2 months as a couple. He had his mysterious and sweet charms and she had her innocent, puppy dog looks, and sneaky ways to surprise him with something new.

Kasuki had just gotten off his terrible Friday night shift, as many couples and middle aged people needed their dose of caffeine for the night ahead. He had just closed his eyes when he felt something sit on top of him and kissed his lips. His eyes sprang open but they relaxed as he saw the beautiful angel of a girlfriend in front of him. She smiled at him and jumped off his lap. "So how was your day koshii?" she asked mentioning him to have a cup of green tea. He nodded yes and replied " it was terrible and hectic, but just seeing your face takes all the stress and pain away and brightens my day."

She smiled at his response and bent over to kiss his soft pink lips. He deepened the kiss and pulled her up into his lap. She wrapped her arms around his neck, parted his lips with her tongue and rhythmatically [A/N: is there such word? Rhythmatically? Oh well...] played with his tongue. Soon enough they were making out more passionately than they had during their two month relationship. But it was unfortunately interrupted when Rika accidentally knocked over the cup of tea. She sighed as she rushed, releasing him to clean up the mess. But Kasuki would not have a knocked cup of tea spoil their night. Once she finished cleaning the mess, he swept her off her feet and kissed her even more passionately than before, while carrying her to the couch. She sighed deep into the kiss, enjoying the moment, making Kasuki smile in amusement.

'She's in my class" he thought as he walked home. Nadeshiko had gone over Keira-san's house for a sleep over so he had some time alone. He sighed in the cold night air and slumped over a little as he walked through the park. He used to visit the playground as a child of ten with a small five years old sister. She loved the swings the most because she always tried to reach the sky knowing that their okaa-san was up in heaven, in the sky looking down on them. He sat down on the one of the swings, not caring about the time. The thought about what his okaa-san and his head suddenly filled with pain as some unknown memory flashed into his brain.

FLASHBACK

"Perhaps you should stay in China until the Clan has found out about the triad that killed him" a worried voice said. It was dark out about and young Ryoko was outside in the garden up in a tree sitting, when he heard two people talking. "Yes but we cannot put your clan into danger, I have to settle the last piece of business that he left behind so that they may stop harming us and everybody," a nurturing voice replied whom the young boy recognized as his okaa-san's.

"Ayashi don't be so stubborn. That triad is very powerful the clan cannot help if you are overseas. It is better if you stay on our home grounds" said the worried voice. "Mei we'll manage besides Ryoko and I are very learned in the arts. Come now we'll talk about this tomorrow alright?" And with that they walked off not knowing that they had left a very shocked and angry young boy in a tree branch, sobbing quietly.

END FLASHBACK

Many things happened to him in his life and this was one of them, he decided. He did not tell his little imouto about these flashbacks and occasional pains to my head but considered these flashbacks little pieces of his memories. He was diagnosed with short term amnesia from the impact of the plane crash and remembered little from his past. He looked into the dark sky and questioned his okaa-san "what will happen to us?" and as if it were it an incomprehensible reply from his mother, snow began to fall lightly and a gentle breeze swept across the branches of the park trees.

"Ano... Meiji-san? Why did you suddenly decide to visit me here in Tokyo? I mean I'm pretty sure you have a job, you told me so." Chiharu enquired. "Chi-chan I decided to visit you because I felt that you were lonely and needed company, and you are correct to say that I do have a job, there was a little business for me to do her in Tokyo as well." Meiji replied as he stopped the car in front of the apartment block where he was to reside during his stay in Tokyo. "What business?" she questioned as they walked up the front door and unlocked it. "I have to look for someone that's all" he said hesitantly. They walked upstairs in silence and Chiharu yawed showing that she was tired opened the apartment door.

They stood there in shock as a couple pulled apart startled. "Gomen nasai Ben-san. Umm we'll just come back a little later" stammered Chiharu and turned to leave. "Iie that is not necessary Chiharu-san" replied her roommate. He was a British teenager who happened to come to Japan to learn more about the Japanese culture. His dirty blonde hair, casual glasses, and tall, muscular body made him irresistible to many female students and the envy of most of the male students at the university. "Clara-san was just about to leave anyway." He mentioned to the young lady next to him on the couch, who was fixing her blouse and gathering her things. She smiled at them and they both stood. Chiharu and Meiji exchanged looks and retreated to the dining room to leave the two to excuse themselves.

Yet unfortunately the living room and front door could still be seen from the dining room, and the two could still hear and see part of the exchange of farewells. They both heard Ben mutter between kisses "You had better leave please I'll just talk to you tomorrow" Clara was clinging onto him and her mouth was on his. They were in tangles. They're heads together with Clara pushing him to the wall and her body firmly on his. Ben deepened one last kiss and pulled away. She sighed but walked out of the open door.

Chiharu grinned as Ben entered the dining room running his hand through his. "Perhaps we should have left you and Clara-SAN. You looked like you didn't want her to leave." He glanced at her and shook his head chuckling, "No, its alright she's been here long enough I think. My lips are starting to hurt." The three chatted a while before retreating to their rooms.

"Sapphire what do you think you are doing? The leaders have already ordered you to bring them back." "Yes but Onyx I think they seem to be in a state of depression and weakness now." "Yes I agree with Onyx, Saph. We will bring them back, one week." "Fine but this is going on your head if it fails, Jade." "Yes, does the council trust me on this Onyx?" "They're hesitating, unsure. So we better get this straight; you know how they do business." And with that the conversation finished.

"It's time..."
