Author's Note: This is just the prologue at the moment. I've made up a few things about Egypt that aren't really true. Like the stuff about magic and all. So just bear with me here. I'm not too sure where this is going, but, I'm writing it anyway... Enjoy. Ja ne!

In ancient times, the Egyptians practiced a complicated form of magick that only a some people knew how to control. These people were few and far between, and could be distinguished by their distinctly silver hair and the staffs they carried. They were thought to carry "The Gift", an ability that meant they could control the magick that others could not.

However, this gift was rare(as was stated above), and even when it ran in the family, it was only bestowed onto one person in each generation. The Gift became so rare that it eventually died out.

In modern times, the few people who practice Khemetian magick usually do so with great difficulty. There is only one person left alive who was born to control the magick, and she is a sixteen-year-old Japanese school girl.

This is the story of that girl.
