Epilogue
Raising Hell Right Up (Midnight Storm, 1999)
We started off that night so healthy
Sick of mind and buoyant of heart
You’d think we’d be used to it by now
That same old fucking drill, day to day
Working our fingers to the bone
But ya know what we say? Fuck no!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
We’re going out tonight
Come and join us at the bar
We’re raising hell tonight
Just a matter of time, mother fuckers
‘Cause we’re raising Hell right up
First thing tonight
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
My name’s Marcie, I’m only sixteen
Somebody said ‘sweet’, but where you been?
Got some fucking weird ideas ‘ya think
I’m your good little girl next door, call me Jean
My boys rockin’ on all around me, you think
They got free will? Look at me and think again
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
If you’re not too fucking fried, friend
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
We’re going out tonight
Come and join us at the bar
We’re raising hell tonight
Just a matter of time, mother fuckers
‘Cause we’re raising Hell right up
First thing tonight
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
You wanted something new
Well look at what you stumbled into
You got the substance?
Or are you weakling what-for?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
If you finally decide you’ve got what it takes
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
Come join us at the bar, ‘cause hey,
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
We’re going out tonight
Come and join us at the bar
We’re raising hell tonight
Just a matter of time, mother fuckers
‘Cause we’re raising Hell right up
First thing tonight
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - --
See you in the fire tonight
(Published 1999: Lyrics and vocals Marcie Kendrick; lead guitar James Glee; guitar and vocals Josh Gary; bass guitar Jones Wynter; drums Mike Reynolds)
Author’s Note: The song is fictional, and it’s meant to be kinda crappy but your typical crappy favourite. A song with which the band made their breakthrough and rocked the world. A song that everybody wants to hear at their gigs. No matter how crappy the lyrics are.
I’m going to email those of you who reviewed, to let you know it’s done! I want to thank everyone who did review over the…years. lol I’m so glad it’s done. I’m not sure that I am happy with the ending. I want you to give me your feedback and tell me if you think anything needs to be covered in more detail. Also let me know what can be left out. Help me perfect if it you want S It doesn’t much matter as it’s never going to make me my fortune. But I am a bit of a perfectionist. Hehe. So just gimme your thoughts!! Again, thanks sooo much for sticking with it all this time ;)
