Alone

IceAngelDarkMoon

Alone

That’s what I am,

I’m not lonely,

Or at least most of the time.

The two are not interchangeable.

Alone

In the middle of a crowd,

That’s when it’s the worst,

Everyone there,

But nobody for me.

Alone

That’s when the pain starts,

The pain or neglect.

It may consume me one day,

But for now I can still escape.

Alone

It sits waiting inside,

Like a sleeping dragon,

It strikes even at will

Even when I feel happy.

Alone

I wonder if it will ever leave.

For now I have a black hole inside

A potentially deadly disease.

Only I know I am stronger than it.

Alone

Even if I am alone now,

Maybe it will not always be that way,

That hope is what keeps me alive,

What keeps me fighting my dragon.

All alone.

Slightly depressing poem, but I have a feeling a lot of people know what I am talking about, even if I don’t J Please leave a review!!! IADM
