Most people on Shazar now speak common speech as it is now spoken throughout the Astro Syndicate, to which the planet now belongs. The Dracians and the Mu-Zhars however, do not.

The Mu-Zhars speak their own secret language of which only a few words are known, this has been dubbed Os'Ki.

Most Dracians can speak common speech as their second language but most prefer to use the ancient language of Shazar, Aal'Ki. With few exceptions all the unfamiliar words in this story are in this language.
