And If The World’s Eyes Are Empty
(We Are The World’s Eyes; We See What It Cannot)
By Jordi Sharpe

Empty.

It’s crazy and sad, but it’s true.

I’m empty.

Would I lie to you?

Empty.

There’s no reason for it..

We’re empty

with doubt, don’t doubt it.

Empty.

Empty as can be.

Who else is empty?

Why don’t you show me?

Show me the crazy,

lazy rain that falls.

Show me the hazy,

daisy light that calls.

I cannot see, cannot breathe.

I cannot cry, can only seethe

and I can teethe on your finger

and laugh. The blood will linger.

If pain can show and

feel our thrashing, then

maybe we aren’t empty.

Let this arrogant thought

come crashing down.
