| Rain, rain go away
Author: Magpie Poet Another political poem, observations on campus one day awhile ago. Again, poetry is a personal thing. I like comments, but don't flame me because we have different views. Flames will be used to toast marshmellows. Yum!

Rain Rain Go Away
The sky is empty and dark.
A cavern letting every voice echo.
I hear the rain coming down,
winter's overflow rushing in torrents
over mud and cement and grass.
Disintegrating paper posters
falling to patches in the muck.
Peace Festival…(in red)
Shamrock's Coming…(in green)
Movie Night—Die Another Day (in yellow)
Protest Tuition raise…(in orange)
I hear Baghdad is on fire.
I wonder if they miss their dark
and empty skies.
