|Rain, rain go away
Author: Magpie Poet PM
Another political poem, observations on campus one day awhile ago. Again, poetry is a personal thing. I like comments, but don't flame me because we have different views. Flames will be used to toast marshmellows. Yum!Rated: Fiction K - English - Drama/Poetry - Words: 96 - Reviews: 4 - Published: 04-29-03 - id: 1291666

Rain Rain Go Away
The sky is empty and dark.
A cavern letting every voice echo.
I hear the rain coming down,
winter's overflow rushing in torrents
over mud and cement and grass.
Disintegrating paper posters
falling to patches in the muck.

I hear Baghdad is on fire.
I wonder if they miss their dark
and empty skies.
