It was an undisputed facedown. No one dared disagree.

The two faced each other, weapons in hand, promising no harm but also assuring a colorful contest of wit and knowledge. It was a wonderful spectacle, even if it ended with you being the one bested.

It was a showdown, and it was something that happened reasonably often- or at least whenever the young maiden July and the handsome lordship Hurio got too close. It always promised entertainment.

The two stop opposite each other, them both with eyes of ice, hearts of iron, and a wicked tongue like no other than themselves. Their mere words were dagger to the heart- fatal to anyone unlucky enough to befall their fury. But to each other, it was a meaningless jest and they took nothing to heart, though their reactions and expressions always maintained otherwise.

Their foul and mischevious words cannot be uttered here. The cunning and cleverness of their words is enough to weasel into any one person’s fair and unguarded heart. No, it is best to hide them away as if they were never spoken- but it would be a sin to mask the action pursuing these clever battles of the mind.
