is this a holiday I'd forgotten?

24 hours news.
so immediate.
so surreal.
trendy cuttings
set to stars and stripes forever.
a special on MTV. or maybe VH1.
listen to the cannons in the 1812 overture.
interesting percussion.
this is NOT the Fourth of July.
