ACT ONE, SCENE ONE

(Opening credits roll as camera moves across midday scenery of Hawaii, from a beach to a quaint town and finally to a school building, which it falls closer to, and settles in front of. The doors open, and high school aged students pour out.

In the mix is BOBBY, a confident, but out-of-place looking sixteen year old boy. A few people in the bustle of students exiting the building inadvertently push him around. Bobby appears irritated, but shrugs them off, and with a roll of the eyes, heads in one direction.

Sitting on a cement platform with his feet up is CHRISTIAN. Christian watches the people with a perceptive at the least, bored at the most, look, while blatantly smoking a cigarette. Christian has an inherently wholesome vibe, despite this, and despite the fact that he is dyed (blue highlights), and pierced (earrings. One on the right. Three on the left.) Christian spots Bobby and makes no move to show that he recognizes or cares, besides getting up slowly, as if he has all the time in the world, and jumping from the cement to the grass, heading into Bobby’s direction on his skateboard, as if following him)...
