ACT FOUR, SCENE ONE

(Mid-day on the beach. The boys are walking towards the water with surfboards.)

Bobby: Loser - you skate, but never learned to surf?

Christian: The first beach I ever saw was a few months ago - gimme a break.

Bobby: Oh, yeah. Well I’m gonna make you a pro.

(They proceed to improvise on Bobby teaching Christian to surf. Fay is sitting in a chair on the beach, watching the boys splash around on surfboards. A man not Don walks up to Fay and hands her a drink. She smiles and kisses him, and he settles in a chair next to her, and looks out at the boys with approval. Their boards drift together close enough for them to exchange a sloppy kiss. The camera freezes on them, capturing their kiss, their exchanged look, and their happiness before fading.)
