Alright, this is the real prelude to my light or dark story. I am real sorry but it was just that it was hard to find. So here it is, hope you enjoy.

I slammed my fist into the table, nearly shattering it. This was the fifth death this week. By this man named Chazbone, (yes, me in Adro14 story) I had no idea how he got into these priests house. But he always left his calling card, a piece of paper with mortus on it. "Charles, the high council person thingy wants to speak to you." My loyal companion Alma spoke. "He says that he has some information on this Chazbone guy, he may not be working alone."

"Ok Alma, I will be there in a minute." I replied.

Heh, Alma my companion for nine years, she has gotten my out of a lot of binds. One time, I was sure I was going to die, this big armored guy, named HG had just robed a bank, I tried to stop him and well, he pummeled me if it wasn't for her I would have been left lying in a puddle of my own blood. Well, time to talk to the high council, see what they have on this case.

As I walked up the giant hall leading to the council, I noticed several things. First on one wall it depicted a scene of a person being born out of darkness. He had metal claws for hands and a spike ripping out of his body. Then is showed a group of demons, nurturing this being. Teaching him, and molding him for their foul purposes. It was just sickening, but it got worse. It then showed this being slaying the demons and having complete demonic power.

On the other side of the wall it depicted practically the opposite. It showed a being created by pure white light. It was heavenly; there was no flaw on this man. It showed him being taught by a council of wise elders teaching him the ways of good. That must be whom this guy named Kohan the council is always talking about. Apparently he is the perfect specimen of manhood and all the nuns and clerics at least thought once of violating their vows for him. Heck, I even saw Alma eyeing him once.

I opened the door and with it uttered a huge creak. I looked inside to see the council members look at me with a wince. "We have to get that door oiled." One of them said.

"I know, I have asked the repair man for over a month now but he says he has more important thing to do." Replied another.

"More important then the council?!" shouted one enraged member, but then saw me, "Oh, well mister Charles it is a pleasure that you actually came to meet with us."

"Well, I was admiring the scriptures." I started to reply.

"No excuses!" He shouted once again, "As you know, you are here because we have some information on this Chazbone and HG that you are searching for."

"Yes, very important information," continued another, "It seems that these people are part of a world wide organization. One that revolves all things dark and evil, they are the head of their process above ground. See, these beings hate light. But Chazbone and HG have seemed to grow and immunity to it. We want you to find them and destroy them."

"But sir," I start to stammer, "Isn't it the way of the church to try to bring these people toward the light? Doesn't it mean that since they are not afraid of the light that there is still hope for them?"

But before the high council could answer a guard runs in. It seems that he has been in a fight for his armor is in tatters and his pike is broken. "Sir! The two evil men Chazbone and HG are outside attacking the local prison! They have over twenty other people helping them. It seems that one of their leaders was captured and they are trying to free them!" He quickly stammers and runs on and on.

Well it was time to do what I did best, help protect this town from the minions of darkness and evilness. I pull on my cloak and race down the hall to warn Alma. I wouldn't want her to face these beings without at least being prepared. As I enter her room I notice that she is already putting scrolls, potions, and wands in her bag. Heh, this girl has never stopped amazing me. "Well," she says in an impatient tone, "Are we going to do some good our are you going to stand there all day?"

"Oh, sorry," I say embarrassed heh, thank goodness I have my helmet on. "Let's go, we have to protect the prison before they free another of their loathsome people."

We race down another hall and open the gain cathedral doors. Suspecting to see a slaughter, but to our surprise we find that the evil ones are only killing the ones that stand in their way. Letting the innocents run away in terror. If it weren't for my church learning's I would have said that they actually cared for the innocents. Well, no time to ponder on that now it was time to destroy some evil.

I charge at the nearest evil one. Sword held up high I quickly slash down. But he dodges it and then starts and attack of his own. He tries to distract me with using one saber to keep my sword busy. But I knew his style they were all alike. Then he tries to gut me with a dagger that was hidden in his other hand. But, I grab the his dagger hand slowly crush it then wait for the authorities to bring before a priest so he could try and convert him. Lord save his soul if the priest is unable to.

"Charles look!" Alma suddenly says to me. "They have gotten away and used the portal they came in here with to get away."

"Damn," I silently swore, "Chazbone gets away again, but don't worry Alma. He won't be so lucky next time."
