Humpty Dumpty ~ the Truth

I have a complaint to make,

My case is nothing but libel.

For my real story,

I’ll commence to tell…

You see, I was not sitting,

But standing very tall,

My ‘fall’ was not great,

Oh, Not At All!

My former friend Egbert,

He pushed me down hard,

But now, people assume clumsiness

On my part, there ended the façade

There were no horses,

And much less men,

On the ground, I was lying

Who would fix me then?

Egbert, he ran,

His evil scheme foiled,
