Just one of those moments

I happened to be in the kitchen one night, father was in there eating left overs and eating quietly as he would usually do, he saw me approached and asked the question, "How was your day."

Not having a particularly good day I told him it was usual and pondered the question to h in about how high school kids in his day. It didn't necessarily surprise me to k now that kids during his day acted nearly if not exactly like people do now; guess stupidity and childishness is naturally inherited from generation to generation.

As we were talking, the subject shifted from isolation amongst those people to the ultimate effect of such foolishness. It's rather sad to think how a person acts now (stupid or other wise) could or would possible have such a horrible effect on the rest of their life.

We continued to talk and soon the subject fell upon the matter of struggle. To many, struggle is a terrible word, no one likes to struggle and honestly who can blame them. But so many also fail to relies just how important struggle is to people. My father recalled upon something he had heard once. After the Vietnam War the Vietnamese were asked why the U.S couldn't be them and they replied, "Because we struggle. A farmer plants his seeds and grows crops only to have them washed away by the monsoon. A farmer gathers food to give to his family only to have it eaten by the insects. The war in a since was just another struggle, it didn't matter how long the war would last, how many people lost their lives because they wouldn't be in vain. They would simply go on till they overcame.

After that the rest of the conversation went on and soon after father was done eating he returned to his room. I had never been so inspired in a long while.

A/N: I know this might not make since immediately, just something that inspired me while talking to my father, we don't speak much (quiet folks really) but I can't help but be inspired by him when we do some times. R&R and if you will.
