Were you for it, against it?/ Does it really matter now?/ What did it solve? what did it prove?/ An eye for an eye is better than a peaceful resolution/ You stopped pain, you started pain/ So many innocent lives. was it worth it for just one man?
Chorus: War/ Divide/ Decide/ It's over, but is it really?
You know there will be more/ Some countries are still mad/ And all those people with lost loved ones/ Was it good or bad?/ We are not God, we do not decide the fate of others/ But yet we keep on trying/ And that is how the world will end, man will destroy man
Chorus repeat
I love my country, I love my president/ I respect him, but I have the right to an opinion/ I don't believe in blood shed, what the hell will that prove?/ So big a problem, so many lives to loose/ Let's give a toast to those who died/ Despite the race, despite the side/ Because no matter who's side you were on, you were both fighting for the same thing/ Freedom
See it anyway you want/ Say I'm wrong, say I'm right/ You're my brother, you're my sister/ Hold my hand, we'll get through tonight/ Somehow.

A/N: Oh man! I just went back and read that and I was like "whoa!!!!" I sound a bit biased! The song sounds like I was totally anti-war-ish. Truth is, I love our President and I respect him. I had mixed feeling about the war. I hate the idea of killing, but it's over. Props to all the American soldiers who fought for freedom. Props to all the Iraqi soldiers who fought because they had to or because they trusted their leader, just like Americans trust Bush. Well, most of us anyways. Please don't flame me, though. I understand what Saddam was doing to his people and I thought it was terrible and I'm glad he was defeated. This is just a song I wrote reflecting that. Plus, I just found out two days ago the war was over. I'm kinda slow. LOL. Peace. Kris.
