Doubts

Who says there is always a rainbow,

after every gloomy shower?

Who says spring would always come,

after every harsh winter?

How can you rest assured,

when you sleep at night …

that you wake up to the morning light?

Shadows are everywhere.

No matter where you look.

That is why you have to cherish

What you have.

Hold to it tight, or it might just float off.

Like a loose balloon taking flight

One day, the best of friends.

The next, more than strangers.

You, my dear friend

you used to bring out the sun in me.

Now, just looking at you

could bring the raindrops down.

I no longer knew who is that person

Who once promised to walk beside me,

no matter what.

There is no such thing,

as an everlasting promise.

Only a stream of everlasting doubts and pain,

for eternity.
