Smoke

Circling, enticing,
Tempting, Seducing.
Chasing its tail,
Swirling in circles.
Smoke, grey smoke.

Choking, confusing,
Convincing, controlling
Distorting reality,
Taking to the skies.
Smoke, cloudy smoke.

Engulfing, pretending,
Persuading, distracting.
Holding you in its clutches,
Clinging on to you.
Smoke, oppressive smoke.

"Fly with me,
And you will see,
That you are free
Oh yes, baby."
Smoke, misleading smoke.

"I'll protect you,
Create a life anew.
I am all that you want.
I promise."
Smoke, deceiving smoke.

Caught, trapped,
In a well woven web.
You are gone and
You have surrendered to
Smoke, victorious smoke.

Each time each day,
You're wasting away.
You're are prisoner,
In the clutches of
Smoke, triumphant smoke.

You are willing,
Unsuspecting.
Addicted, you can't escape
It has consumed you.
Smoke, devouring smoke.

Takes away the pain
As you go to it again.
Numbs your sensations,
Erases your emotions.
Smoke, powerful smoke.

Calms you more than once,
Leaves you in a trance.
Held in the fog,
I can't find you within,
Smoke, cigarette smoke.

A/N: You could take it in anyway you want andthe poem isjust aabout ny kind of smoke you might want it to be.I wasn't a smoker whenI wrote the could flame me for an anti-climax, though I wouldprefer constructive criticism.
