“Saying Goodbye”

Time is almost up.

The year is almost over.

Summer is almost here.

It’s been a bumpy road

Through this semester and last,

But we pulled through,

Somehow, we made it

And now it’s finally time

To say goodbye for a while.

I don’t want to leave you,

My wonderful friends,

Though I know

We’ll see each other again

In a few short months.

Even so,

I’ll still be saddened

By the sight of you all

Leaving one by one.

This is a week

I do not

Want to participate in.

I don’t want to say goodbye,

Knowing full well,

Tears will take over my emotions

Once I see your tail lights

Disappearing in the distance

And I can’t see you anymore.

I certainly couldn’t have made it

Through these two semesters

Alone, without you.

Though it’s been a hard and bumpy road,

We finally made it to the end,

Together.

And I’m gonna miss you all

Till I see you again in September.

Until then,
