I am, and I

Am not.

I am that silly little girl

The one you pass and sometimes sass

Break my heart like fragile glass.

I am not;

I am not that grown up woman

Wobbling in stiletto heels

Lifted from a movie reel

Hope someday my heart'll heal.

I am that slowly lifting glowing

Spirit flying oh so high

Shower down those tears I cried

Lift my soul up to the sky.

I am not;

I am not that lowly snake

Never asking, only take

See how many hearts I'll break

Turn you upside down and shake

For me, no such thing as heartache.

No, I couldn't be that;

You already fill that position.
