Never Needed Your Love
Sometime in 1999
I wrote this song after my "girlfriend", Stephanie, dumped me for some guy 4 years older than her, then tried to come back. (it was based on that song "Absolutely (The Story of a girl)" by Nine Days, so any similarities to that song are purely intentional)

You thought we had a chance
Girl how you were wrong
This relationship of ours
Wasn't meant to last long
He's so much older than you
What's he got that I don't
I think he's quite stupid
What I see, I know you won't

You forgot that we broke up yesterday
And also the meaning of 'Go away'
You don't seem to believe me when I say

I never needed your love anyway
Never asked for you to stay
I hate you girl, I said yesterday
Get out of my life and go away

I said it a million times to you
But you never listened to me
You said you made a mistake
Now it's too late, we can no longer be
I knew if I stood here waiting
You would come crawling back to me
But I don't want you anymore
There's plenty more fish in the sea

You forgot that our releationship is now dead
And you lets this whole thing get to your head
Did you ever believe me when I said

I never needed your love anyway
Never asked for you to stay
I hate you girl, I said yesterday
Get out of my life and go away
