Little Girl Lost

This is something I wrote over a year ago. I lost it for ages, and I found it again the other day. It was weird, because I still feel exactly the same as when I wrote it.

Little Girl Lost

Little girl, lost in a dream,
Searching for something to believe in,
The pain is so deep, that it pierces her soul,
And cuts her heart into a thousand pieces.

Little girl, scared and alone,
Hate tunnels through her, into her very being,
It becomes part of her,
She needs it now, more than she needs love.

Little girl, lost her innocence,
The world, so big, so sour, took it away,
Removed all the hope, stole the confidence,
Now she has no where to go, no one to turn to.

Little girl, wants to be free,
But she is trapped, trapped on her own mind,
Fleeting thoughts, weigh her down,
Nothing there, to lift her up again.
