Starlight of the ages, shinning bright upon her back, she ran from house to house wondering where she would find asylum. Asylum from the night that had always hated her. Her name had once been Loki, the god of mischief and fire, but like so many things about her it hardly mattered anymore. The lone figure running down the beach had no name save for 'Stranger' or, more often then not, 'Traitor'.
The name burned in her mind like hot coal, leaving an invisible but nevertheless painful scar on her soul. The events came back to her now, all in a rush of terrifyingly clear memories.
They had tried to burn her at the stake, yelling things like 'witch' and 'traitor' in her general direction. What did they think she did? How could they so easily prosecute someone who had been in their midst for years?
At long last she was to find sanctuary in a spider-ridden cave by the sea. Hopefully by morning the tide will have filled the small retreat, ensuring she never had to face another day on this lonely planet.
Quietly, she would make her peace with the gods, asking them for guidance or maybe just a knife. Then the answer to her prayers would come to her in the form of a blue snake.
She would recognize it at once - she had, after all, been a very good hand at such things - it would be a Cyan Adler, with poison so strong it could drop a Waterdeer. That would be enough for her, she would be sure.
It would be over then, no more taunting, no more lies. She would feel the teeth sink into her skin and the poison course through her body. Then, she would lie on her back, looking up at the sky on last time, wondering why the stars had to shine so bright on her dying day.
A/n: so yeah, there you go Kyalia, I hoe that's what you meant ^_^
