A tear falls in the dark.
What can I say?
I thought that we'd be together always.
That she'd always be by my side.
But she left.
My tears silently fall.
My soul cries out in desperation.
How many more times must I go through this?
This pain that my heart cannot endure.
My heart cries tears unseen.
I feel as though part of me is gone.
We were closer than possible.
She was like a sister to me.
Part of my own soul,
Gone.
Why must we separate?
Why do people hurt others?
Will you do as they have done,
Closing their hearts to those who truly need?
There are millions in our world who need.
They cry out silently for help.
Will you hear their calls?
Will you answer their prayers?
Or will you close you heart to their pleas?
Will you condemn someone, somewhere, to a broken heart?
How many more tears must fall in the dark?
