Jeff Thesiman sat in the back of math class. His teacher was going on and on about something having to do with algebra. His drawings in his notebook seemed to come to life, and suddenly he found himself in his notebook pages.

The caricatures of his friends and classmates were walking on the lined paper as if there was nothing wrong.

“Mark?” He said to a drawing of one of friends that happened to be passing by him.

“What?”

“You can talk?!”

“Duh!”

“But you’re just a drawing!”

“Look whose talking.”

“What do you mean?”

“Look at yourself, dude.”

Jeff looked at his hands and feet. They were only thin pencil lines, making the shape of his body and his features.

“I’m only a drawing too.”

“Yes you are. Let’s go.”

“Where?”

“To explore the pages of your notebook.”

“Okay.”

They got to the next page where there was a drawing of the girl Jeff liked. Mira Forgof.

“Somebody needs to ask somebody to the dance so somebody can see how overrated somebody is,” Mark said.

“Shut up Mark,” Jeff said.

“I’m telling ya man, I went out with her and it wasn’t all I thought it would be.”

“If you don’t shut up, I’ll erase you.”

“Shutting up.”

“Hey, Mira.”

“Hi Jeff”

“You know my name?”

“We are going out!”

“We are?”

“Yes. Are you still up for movies Friday?”

“Yeah.”

“See you around.”

“Bye.”

“How did I get her to go out with me?”

“It is your notebook.”

“Oh, yeah. I forgot about that.”

“Let’s continue through the notebook.”

“Okay.”

“Mark jumped off the page and onto a desk. Then, he lifted up the page.

“Give me a hand here Jeff.”

Jeff jumped off the page and turned the page. Then Mark and he jumped back into the notebook. A drawing of desks, a teacher, and a blackboard faced them. The teacher was none other than Mrs. Abernathy, Jeff’s math teacher.

“Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah,” Mrs. Abernathy said.

“This is not where I want to be right now,” Jeff said.

“Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah,” Mrs. Abernathy continued saying.

“Why is that all she says?” Jeff said.

“Maybe it has to do with the word bubble above her head that says ‘Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah,’”Mark said.

“Let’s go somewhere else,” Jeff said.

The next page had drawings running from a giant drawn eraser.

“We’re doomed!” People screamed.

“You just had to go and draw this picture didn’t you?” Mark asked.

“Shut up and run.”

“Way ahead of you,” Mark ran to the edge of the page and tried to push it open.

“Help me please,” Mark said.

However, Jeff could not help. The eraser was headed straight towards him.

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! He screamed.

Ring the bell rang and Jeff woke up.

“Glad that’s over,” He said. Then left for his next class.
