Chapter 4: Decisions

[Ina] I was sitting in the kitchen, staring into space while I merely poked at my food, thoughts jumbled. Ever since I watched the news I've felt my heart constrict...Or something to that. After yet another attempt of eating, I finally pushed my plate away and took a sip from my cup of orange juice.
"Well, this sucks." I stated, placing the empty cup down with a soft tup. I still couldn't get over the fact that I know who the Slayer is, nor lived to tell. Speaking of telling... Should I?
I leaned back in my seat and gave a dubious look up at the wall. Of course I should go the authorities and tell! Any good citizen would...right? It is the right thing to do--it will save people.
But...
Who is going to save me?! I thought, exasperated. The Slayer did put up a pleasant front but by the way he handled that sword... By the way those eyes took up that cold light... I slumped forward in my seat, groaning inwardly. I can't let this killing spree go on! And--
--Geez, I sound like one of those cheesy characters in movies, those characters that would go, "This needs to stop!" For a brief second I took up a bemused smile as I shook my head. I got up with my plate and walked over to the microwave, placing my 'breakfast' inside before I washed my cup.
Once I was done, I went over to my closet, grabbed the keys, and went out the door, locking it behind me.
"Well... I don't think I'd live long enough anyway. Death always come for you whether you like it or not 'Sides, if it's your time to go, then you go," I whispered to myself as I finally decided to tell my information. I turned away from my dorm room and took up a sad smile.
If only I could have experienced more in life, I thought to myself. Try new things... Get drunk or something! From the last thought, I bit on my tongue, frowning. Tch, no time for self-pity. You had fun in life--you are not THAT miserable. Savor the last moments... IF it is your last...
I abruptly stopped walking, looking down at the ground as I gave myself hope. Maybe I will be lucky in the end; maybe I will...

[Till] "Sixty people is now the current count. The police are still bringing down more bodies from the now ruins of the college dorm. This is such a horrible sight to see people, you can smell the stench of death even through all the smoke. The Slayer, Till, is said to be responsible for the atrocity. In- "
Not my fault, I told her not to tell. I told her, dammit!
"Ina is safe, and the police wanted to let the public to know that. Ina, of course, is the courageous woman who told the police who was the Slayer. "
Yes she was courageous…and now she will be sorry for it. I killed them all, and when I see her…I’ll kill her. Damn it…I thought scaring her would make it all right.
"Oh it has come to my attention that the vice-president Ronaldo of ShinSin is ready to give his speech on this matter. "
Wow…he is talking! This must be a big thing. Naw, now that they know that it was me…the government’s bitches are sure as hell going to get involved. I am Omega, c’mon now…one of the Former ShinSin army’s elite.
"Hello citizens of ShinSin. Today’s act of violence has been declared an importance of national status. The death of so many young and hopeful people is of no small matter. I will now tell the exact facts so the rumors will cease.

"At 1 P.M today, a young woman by the name of Ina Zaragoza, came to ShinSin City’s police department. She took a step that most of us could not, and that to expose this serial killer "The Slayer". Ladies and Gentleman, with the help of Ms. Zaragoza, we found out who the Slayer was. They put my picture on this screen. Man am I handsome! No wonder my friends called me Mr. Butter, a smooth ladies’ man! Hahaha! This man’s real name is Renal Tillman. Among his friends, he is known as Till. Now to some people this name may seem similar. Now onto the tragedy that befell this evening.

"As Ina told her story, she had told the police that Renal said he would get everyone at her dorm. The police took immediate action, and headed towards the dorm. When they started to inform the students, the building was attacked. It is clear to assume that Renal was behind this. Around 7 P.M, the building was rubble…killing everyone inside. Some of the bodies of the fallen policemen that were recovered showed the usual signs of the Slayer. He has proven that he has no remorse on killing, and that the police are no different. I will now choose my words carefully. "The rumors about Renal being "The Omega" are true. Renal was a former member of the Shin Sin’s army, and he was one of the best. This man is not to be taken lightly, and if anyone sees him…report to the police immediately. Omega is a hazard to the city, and has to be taken care of immediately. Thank you all, and be calm. The government is here for you." He waved to the cameras and went off screen.
Man, that speech made him almost sound smart and sincere. Too bad I know what he is really like. A greedy dumbass to put it lightly, I thought as I remembered the way he looks. He was about five feet, tan colored skin, plump and bald except for the old grayish brown hair around the sides of his head. I almost felt bad for hating him, almost. Now I got to go to Jefri, to clear up some things. He probably hates this Ina situation, and right now I am pissed at him for sending those thugs at me.
