Glistening in the air

A shining object

A star?

No, a crystal shape.

But what is it?

It is a heart.

It spins, floating in the darkness

And then…

It falls.

Slowly at first it tumbles, then faster

Faster.

Speeding through the night

Plummeting to the ground

And then…

It hits.

Silver shards fly everywhere

The ground glitters in the moonlight

A shard flies into a hand

It pricks

It bleeds.

But no notice.

The crimson blood falls to the ground

The crystal is red

Red of fire, red of passion

But it is too late.

The person passes by

And the crystal shards are washed away.

And then, silence.
