Children of Obscurity
By Jordi Sharpe
We feed upon the meat
of mystery and we drink from
the fountains that elude.
Enigmatic flows, often possessed
by confusion.
We jettison questions to
the hungry wildebeests
for meals. Romantic quizzications.
When do we fly?
We don’t. Knowledge of
kaleidoscope visions is overwhelming.
Condemning, if you will.
Or so desire – the strange and fair design is broken.
The sodomy, lashed to the walls
of our hearts, spits furiously
and in lack of reason.
Poor soul.
Capp’d with shock.
Snarl back in your attempts
for the aegis peace.
Nations will rise.
Nations will fall.
Join in arms your brother
and frighten.
