Operation B.M.G.
Chapter One

From the moment Andrea Maxwell stepped inside the premises of Lexus University, she had seen herself beating a guy half the school population feared. She had seen herself talking to three members of the most-wanted band in the music world. She had seen herself standing in the middle of the cafeteria being ridiculed by the people present during that time as Nicholas Parker, the guy she was supposed to protect, walked away. She had seen herself holding Neo's body in her arms when she found him unconscious in the bathroom. The memory itself was enough to make her blush until she resembled a tomato.

Moving along. She had seen herself being held back by Lex, a former CIA agent, as he taunted Neo when she arrived for tryouts in the basketball court. She had seen herself with her old friends and her new friends eating in a restaurant and watching a movie. Finally, she had also seen herself being kissed by the guy she had a huge crush on. However, never in a million years, or the 16 years that she had gone through, had she expected to see herself standing at the side of the basketball court-

-tied to a pole by a thick rope.

"FUDGE YOU, LEX! RELEASE ME AT ONCE OR I SWEAR I'LL BEAT YOUR SORRY BUTT UNTIL IT'S BLACK AND BLUE! I'M SERIOUS, YOU NUMBSKULL! GET THESE ROPES OFF ME AND-"

Lex chuckled as he made an extra knot on the rope to ensure that the young girl wouldn't escape. He looked up at Neo, who stood with his arms crossed over his lean chest, his eyes trained on Andrea with concern and uncertainty. Lex straightened his form and grabbed the ball from the ground as he walked past Andrea's enraged form to his opponent. "Relax, Andre. Once the winner's decided, you'll be free as a bird. Think of yourself as the prize for whoever wins. It's an intriguing idea, don't you think?"

"Damn you, Lex! I'm not some kind of prize!"

Lex shot her a look and shrugged casually. "Whatever you say, darling."

Neo glared. "Don't call him that."

Lex smirked. "He doesn't belong to anyone as of now, so I think that you have no say as to what I call him."

Neo glowered even more, obviously vexed by the comeback. Then, with a sharp nod, he moved towards the center of the court like some haughty prince, expecting Lex to follow him. Lex sighed at Neo's arrogant behavior as he regarded the CIA agent beside him with amused eyes. "How you like him is a complete mystery to me."

Andrea looked up at him and asked heatedly, "Why the hell are you doing this, Lex? For what purpose?"

Lex grinned. "You'll see soon enough." With that, he walked away.

Andrea cursed under her breath and watched the two from where she was, miffed to the point where she wanted to execute everything based on combat-survival skills she learned in CIA on Lex. She knew that this game was Lex's idea of fun since his favorite past time seemed to be to annoy Neo to the max, but at the same time, she knew that there was another reason for him wanting this. Lex may be childish and selfish in his own way, but somehow, Andrea knew that there was another reason why he had wanted this game to ensue. The question was: What?

Looking down at the rope that covered half of her body, she tried once more to loosen their hold on her or at least move her hands, but it was futile. Lex used to be in CIA, thus, the basic lessons of tying a knot was something he mastered. Dejected, she slumped against the binding around her and stared at the two men, her eyes fastened on one in particular.

Neo.

She suddenly blushed bright red when she remembered what had happened the night before in her room. After the game against one of the schools in their district, she had thought that everything that had happened afterwards was a dream. It certainly felt like a dream, for that matter. How would one react if they saw themselves slipping under the comforter of the guy of their dreams and sleeping with their arms around each other? To say that least, she was surprised when she woke up that very morning.

She tended to shift around in her sleep, and the position she was in was enough to make blood shoot out of her nose. Her forehead was against Neo's lips as her own lips were pressed against his neck. One hand was clutching his shirt as if she were afraid she would disappear into thin air if she released him, while the other was slipping itself through his rosewood hair. Her legs were tangled with his, making her position look more intimate than she imagined. Ever since she could remember, she hadn't had any boy friends or a boyfriend for that matter, and suddenly, here she was, waking up next to one of the most beautiful people on earth who happened to be the guy every girl wanted. It was an exhilarating and scary thought at the same time. She, the man-hater, had Nicholas Parker to herself.

Very scary, indeed.

As she pondered on these thoughts, she never realized that Neo had been awake for quite some time, and before she could do anything, he angled his head to one side and gave her a small kiss on the tip of her nose. She blinked in surprise and looked up at him, and when she saw the peaceful and content smile on his face, she couldn't think of anything. His smile was radiating...and that made her weak all of a sudden.

Neo wasn't at all fazed by what had happened. Instead, he told her softly that he had a match with Lex and that they had to get moving. Giving her a lazy kiss which lasted for quite some time, he drew back, smiled at her petrified state, sat up, grabbed his clothes and disappeared into the bathroom. She was left on his bed, her eyes glued on the bathroom door as her fingers touched her lips. She knew that she had fallen for him, but she never expected to fall this hard. She was starting to think of herself as one of those lovesick idiots that went around town humming an annoying tune under their breath as they unconsciously skipped through the park. Mentally hitting herself on the head, she tried her best to think and act like a sane human being by walking over to her bed and preparing her things.

After her bath, they both met Lex by the door to the basketball court, and in a snap, Lex had her tied against the pole on the side of the court while Neo just stared, slightly befuddled as to what was happening as she screamed strings of curses at the grinning trouble-maker. Thus, her current situation.

Leaning back and trying to relax as much as possible, she locked her eyes on the pair on the court and exhaled. She knew she couldn't do anything else, so she rolled her eyes and mentally said with a dead tone,

Go, Neo.

Gabe Maxwell sighed irritably for the nth time as he passed a group of young women by the mall, their eyes boldly assessing him as their comments reached his ears.

"Hey, hey, hey...cutie alert."

"Very..."

...handsome, even."

"Wonder if he has a girlfriend?"

"...cool earring."

He rounded a corner and started to walk at a faster pace. If he were back at home, he could have shrugged this off as a daily routine instead of mind it. Every time he went out to the mall with his girlfriend, or when he wanted to hang out with his friends, young women would always look him up and down with a terrifying gleam in their eyes. However, women in Lexus were more daring. They actually sent those sultry looks and stared at him without breaking eye contact. Whenever he lifted his head up, he always saw at least one woman looking at him as if he were the hottest item on sale.

Not that he didn't like the attention. He worked to get the attention of his girlfriend now by going to gym and stuff, but in the end, he never really had to do anything. She had liked him from the start for who he was. Either way, they were together now, and Gabe wanted nothing more than to throw his model-like body out of the window and revert back to his lean form.

He looked up and thanked God when he saw that there wasn't a soul in sight. He turned to see where had ended up and noticed that he was outside a school. He looked up to see the name of the school, the letters gold and bold against the rising sun.

Lexus University.

He shrugged casually and strolled in. Apparently, there were no classes today, meaning no guard at the gate. When he stepped outside the hotel he and his mother were staying in that morning, a horde of students ran past them towards the mall. That said, he also wanted to get away from his mother's plot of visiting his father in a few hours. He didn't plan on shocking his father to the point where he actually died. Instead, he wanted to take a look around the home of Andrea.

He stopped short. Glancing around, he searched for something. Then, he heard it. The sound of a ball being dribbled.

He looked to his right and saw the gym of the school. Deciding that he could spend his free time doing anything he wanted, he strolled over towards the gym with calm strides, wondering who was playing in school instead of going out.

Lex dropped to the ground tiredly as he struggled to breath. His shirt was wet with sweat as his limbs threatened to dislocate themselves from their sockets. Shakily wiping his hair away from his eyes, he looked up at Neo, who was equally having a hard time breathing, but remained upright. He closed his eyes and grinned. "52-60."

Neo exhaled tiredly and nodded. "I won."

Lex smirked. "So, you did." He stood up from the ground, and fell flat on his butt. Blushing, he hesitantly looked up at Neo and muttered, "A little help, please."

Neo blinked. "Oh." Then, he grasped Lex's hand and pulled the tired man up. When that was done, Lex smiled and patted Neo on the shoulder. Neo raised an eyebrow at that. "What?"

"Congratulations."

Neo looked at the boy next to him, then, smiling as well, he replied, "Thank you."

Lex grinned and nudged Neo at the side. "I must say, Parker, that was the best game I've ever had in my entire life."

Neo blushed and ducked his head.

Lex laughed. "Are you embarrassed?! Woah..."

"Shut up."

"Hey! Are you two planning on releasing me any time soon?"

Both men looked at their right and stared at Andrea, who was irked to the extreme. Lex laughed at her expression and patted Neo once again. "Parker, why don't you go get the basketball while I untie your prize over there?"

Neo shrugged and went off.

Lex went up to Andrea and started to unknot the knots, a small smirk on his face. When he was nearly at the center, he looked up at her red face and murmured, "You know, you should be thanking me for this."

"Huh?" Startled, Andrea looked down at him and narrowed her eyes angrily. "Why the heck should I thank you? For tying me up?"

"No." The third knot. Lex stared at it for some time then chuckled. "For officially making you his."

Andrea blushed hard.

Lex chuckled once more and continued to untie her. "You happy?"

"I-" Andrea's voice dropped at the question as she looked down at the ground. Was she happy? She had no idea. The idea of being called Neo's was not something she could have easily answered. Then, she asked herself again: Was she happy? Hell, yes. She wanted to scream for joy when Neo made the finishing shot from the 3-point line, but afterwards, she thought of what his winning meant, and that sent her stomach down. Was she happy? Hell, no. She didn't like the idea of being called someone's. She was her own person and she loved knowing that. Now...she was officially his. The thought was sort of sickening, but at the same time...heart-warming.

Slowly, she looked up and saw Neo approaching with the basketball in one hand. Her heartbeat raced faster and faster than anything she's ever felt.

Lex looked at her red face knowingly and gestured for Neo to come closer. "Well, what are you waiting for, Parker? Untie the last knot and collect your prize."

Andrea inhaled sharply.

Neo looked uncomfortable.

Lex laughed. "Oh, come on, you guys! You are officially a couple now! No need to blush like nuts!"

Andrea snarled, "Shut up, Lex! Don't you dare spread this to anyone!"

Lex blinked innocently. "What? Now why would I do that?"

Neo glared.

Smiling at the two, Lex shook his head and winked at them. "I promise not to tell. Hell, I can imagine what would happen if I do: The entire world will know you admire guys instead of women, right? Of course, that will be followed by girls wanting to kill Andre over here. Not a pleasant sight."

"Hey!"

"What, Andre? It's true."

"Untie me now, you worm, or I'll-"

"Yes, yes, I know. You'll beat my butt black and blue."

"You-!"

"Hey, Neo, why the hell do you even find him desirable?"

"Shut your trap, Markov!"

"Now, now, Andre. That's no way to speak to someone who's older than you."

"Fudge you!"

"Awww...look, Neo. Your boyfriend tried to say the 'f' word."

"Leave him out of it!"

"Oh! Spirited, aren't we?"

"I swear, Markov, the moment I'm free I'll-"

"Andrea?"

Lex and Andrea stopped baiting each other at the sound of that voice while Neo turned around. Andrea followed his action and soon felt her mouth drop open due to shock. The door of the gym was partially open, allowing a few rays of the sun to enter the area, but the person standing by the door was the one she had to gape at. She knew him. Despite the eight years they've been apart, the changes he has undergone, she knew who the person was.

"Gabe..."

Neo looked back at her and raised an eyebrow in question. "Gabe?"

Andrea nodded slowly and whispered, "My...brother..."

Both Lex and Neo blinked in surprise as their heads snapped up. At that, all of them stared at each other in silence, not knowing what to do or say. Gabe hadn't moved form his spot. Andrea was still tied down by the last knot. Lex was crouched down beside her while Neo stood still.

However, Gabe didn't mind that both men beside his sister were idle. What caught his attention was the fact that his little sister was tied to a post. Feeling his brother-instincts kick in, he balled his hands into fists, ran forward, and in a blink of an eye, hit Neo on the stomach. Neo doubled-over in shock and fell back, his head hitting the ground hard.

Andrea screamed.

Lex stood up and raised both hands up in alarm. "Hey, wait a minute-"

"Get your hands off my sister!" And once again, his fist lashed out and landed on Lex's cheek, sending the younger man to the side.

Andrea stared at Neo and Lex's pained faces for a while, then shouted at her brother angrily, "Gabe! Stop it!"

Gabe turned to her with angry eyes. "They tied you against the pole! You had no idea what these boys wanted to do to you! If I hadn't come-"

Understanding dawned over Andrea at that point. Struggling against the last knot, she tried to explain. "No! Gabe! It's not-"

"Be quiet!"

Lex winced when he held his sore cheek and scowled at the older man before him. "Gabe Maxwell, I presume? Look, I need to explain something here."

Gabe cracked his knuckles and strode forward dangerously. "I don't want to hear your petty excuses."

Lex's jaw clenched at that. Gabe, by what he had gathered so far, was an overly overprotective older brother who wouldn't stop until they were dead. Worriedly, he threw a glance at Neo, who was on his feet and glaring daggers at Gabe. Biting his lip, he looked up at the enraged brother and shouted, "We weren't hurting him! We were just-"

"Him?" Gabe glanced back at Andrea, and as if he had just realized it, his eyes widened as he shouted. "What the hell have you done to your hair?!"

Andrea drew back. "Uh..."

Lex's eyes narrowed, and in one leap, his arms encircled Gabe's frame and sent both of them to the ground with a loud crash. Wincing against the pain, Lex pinned Gabe's arm against his back and turned to shout at Neo. "Parker! Get Ale-ah! Professor Schwartz! Get him now! Hurry!"

Neo locked eyes with him at that moment, then, he turned his gaze to Andrea who looked as if she were as pale as powder.

Lex followed his gaze and snarled, "Not now, Parker! Sh-He'll be fine! Hurry up and get Professor Schwartz!" He silently hit himself for almost letting Andrea's true identity slip, but he couldn't help it. Since Gabe obviously knew who Andrea was, his mind was shifting to him knowing Andrea as a woman and not as a man. At that moment, he wished he had undergone more CIA training in control before he quit.

Looking back at Lex, Neo seemed confused for a while, as if he were debating something with himself, then he nodded. As he ran towards the door, Lex tried his best to hold down the bigger man under him. Before Neo disappeared though, he looked back at them and shouted at Lex, "You can stop pretending that you don't know, Lex. I happen to know who she is." With that, he was gone.

Lex was stunned, to say the least. He looked up at Andrea. "He...knows?"

But before she could reply, Gabe threw his weight off him and reversed the position. All Andrea could do was watch as Gabe twisted Lex's arm to the point where it was about to pop out of its socket. Struggling against the last knot, she felt immense anger boil up inside her as Lex's pained face contorted more and more before her eyes.

She tried to scream at Gabe for him to stop, but her throat suddenly closed, choking her words down. She felt dread wash over her system as Lex screamed, his face red as Gabe pulled harder, oblivious to everything else but hurting the guy who tied his sister against the pole. Resigned, she shook her head and gasped in defeat, "Oh God, please..."

Then, without knowing how she did it, her aura flew from her body to Gabe's, and when the aura molded with his body, he became unconscious. As Andrea watched him fall to the ground, she too felt her eyes fall as her body slumped against the pole. Tiredly, but surely, she felt a warm presence stand beside her as the voice gently whispered, "Wonderful performance. We will meet very soon...Penumbra."

Her vision turned black.
